Trickle Treat

With Halloween comes Trick or Treating - clearly one of the best night of the year for young kids.

Dressing up. Tick. Wandering the street with their friends after bedtime. Tick. Getting given sweets and chocolate. Tick.

Ours had a great time, and for the first time we teamed up with another family which was a nice change of pace.

There are little ‘kid-isms’ - phrases or words that kids haven’t quite mastered that lead to delightful misunderstandings. As a kid, for the longest time, I’m led to believe I conflated “lie-in” with “lion” and so would comment on my parents having a lion.

My four-year-old daughter is convinced that Trick or Treating is actually called Trickle Treating and I love it.
